Would you like to work on your wellbeing and explore new perspectives in a group of like-minded women? Then come and join us in our Wellbeing: Your Way coaching programme which will take you on a journey of exploration, discovery and inspiration. Please note this programme is being delivered as part of a doctoral research programme. A participant information sheet is available with detailed information about the research. -
This course will cover the following: - An overview of the voluntary sector, the differences between this and the other sectors. - Understanding the function of different volunteering organisations and how they use volunteers. - The commitment required and the benefits of volunteering to both the organisation and the volunteer. - Know where to find out about becoming a volunteer and the ways to apply for a volunteering post. - How to improve and develop the skills needed to perform the role of a volunteer in a chosen organisation. - Understand the importance of meeting personal and organisational standards in volunteering organisations. - Be able to perform tasks in the volunteering role. - Health and Safety requirements when volunteering. - Equal Opportunities. - Organisational policies.
