Then come and join us in our Wellbeing: Your Way coaching programme which will take you on a journey of exploration, discovery and inspiration. Please note this programme is being delivered as part of a doctoral research programme. A participant information sheet is available with detailed information about the research. -
This course will cover the following: - An overview of the voluntary sector, the differences between this and the other sectors. - Understanding the function of different volunteering organisations and how they use volunteers. - The commitment required and the benefits of volunteering to both the organisation and the volunteer. - Know where to find out about becoming a volunteer and the ways to apply for a volunteering post. - How to improve and develop the skills needed to perform the role of a volunteer in a chosen organisation. - Understand the importance of meeting personal and organisational standards in volunteering organisations. - Be able to perform tasks in the volunteering role. - Health and Safety requirements when volunteering. - Equal Opportunities. - Organisational policies.

Each year Diversity House holds its Annual General Meeting (AGM) this is where we discuss our achievements and learnings of the past year. As a charity it is essential we carrying out these meetings. Attendees include our trustees, patrons, directors, staff, partners, stake holders and volunteers. The topics we cover in the meeting includes presentation of annual report, accounts and any other business matters.
