  • Our book bundle consisting of 'We Remember' which was launched at our dissemination event at the The Royal Overseas League on St James’s Street London and features a collection of 15 essays on remembering World War One in Africa as well as the play 'Breaking Down Walls' dedicated to the life of Walter Tull which was written and performed by the students at St. Michael’s C of E Junior School in Maidstone. Purchasing both books together saves nearly 10% compared to purchasing them separately.
  • As part of Diversity House’s ‘Breaking the Myths - WW1 & Africa’ Project, we worked closely with Year 5 pupils at St. Michael’s C of E Junior School in Maidstone to write and perform a play dedicated to the life of Walter Tull entitled ‘Breaking Down Walls’. This is the script written by the pupils which was performed on the 4th June 2018.

  • Launched at our dissemination event at the The Royal Overseas League on St James’s Street London, this book is a collection of 15 essays on why we remember World War One in Africa written by everyday people and well-known academics including Sir Hew Strachan, Timothy Stapleton, Nuno Lemos Pires and David McDonald of Commonwealth War Graves Commission. The book also includes a poem written specially for Diversity House remembering Africa by Kat Francis as well as contributions by the children of St Michael’s CE Junior School, Maidstone.
