Stephen Beech ( Careers advisor and motivational speaker)
At the age of four years old Stephen Beech suffered a major accident which caused a fractured skull, he needed over 200 stitches. He was in the hospital until the age of 6 and spent the rest of his infant years in and out of the hospital. Due to the seriousness of the accident Stephen suffered multiple disabilities and several mental health illnesses. The accident had a serious effect on his learning and he was placed in a school which supported children with special needs and disabilities. Growing up his family faced extreme poverty and Stephen experienced neglect, he was placed in care along with his siblings and was later adopted by his maternal grandparents. However, through all the challenges Stephen found something he enjoyed. Drawing. Fast forward to now Stephen is over 50 and he has developed his career and set some ambitious career and life goals. This is the story of creating the dream of a dual career alongside his current career’s role with CXK. Come along and be inspired by his story.

Working Heads is an exciting new project which provides a platform for job seekers of all ages, to create a ‘flash video interview’ for local employers with live vacancies to view as part of their recruitment process. Ideal for jobseekers who have not had success with the traditional CV or application approach, you can receive support at one of our local workshops to create a high standard video and to let an employer see the real you.

Angela is accomplished at delivering first class corporate communications, managing reputational risk, crisis PR and diverse stakeholder relationships – with board members, ministers, senior government officials as well as GPs, clinicians, community champions and service users.
